Tracking Links allow you to create and manage custom tags for conversion tracking, site analytics, and more. You can easily analyze ticket sales and revenue from different sources such as social media, websites, or promotional campaigns.

✅ Quick Steps: Create a Tracking Link Tag
Log in to your Yapsody account and select your event
Go to Promote → Tracking Links
(or Edit Event → Marketing → Tracking Links)Enter your tag name in the “Enter Tag” field
Click “Create Tracking Link Tag”
Copy the generated tracking link or QR code
Share it on social media, websites, or flyers to track sales
🔹 How to Create a Tracking Link Tag
There are two ways to access the Tracking Links section of your event:
Option 1: From Promote
Log in to your account
Select your event
Hover over Promote (top right)
Click on Tracking Links
Option 2: From Event Edit
Log in to your Yapsody account
Edit your event
Click on Marketing
Select Tracking Links
Create the Tag
Enter your preferred tag name in the “Enter Tag” field
Click on “Create Tracking Link Tag”
⚠️ Important Notes
Maximum 50 characters allowed
Supports letters, numbers, spaces, and underscores only
Tag names must be unique within the same event
After Creating the Tag
Once created, you will see a confirmation pop-up with:
Your Tracking Link
A QR Code
You can use these to promote your event across:
Social media
Websites
Flyers
⚠️ Important
Tags cannot be edited or deleted once a sale has been made using that tag
📊 How to View the Tracking Link Report
Select your event
Hover over Promote
Click on Tracking Links
The report will display:
Tracking Link Tag
Tickets Sold
Ticket Revenue
Discount
Surcharge
Total
Export Options
You can download the report in:
PDF format
CSV format
🔍 How Tracking Works (Scenarios Explained)
Scenario 1
Action: Customer clicks the tracking link and completes booking
Result: Tag is tracked
Scenario 2
Action: Customer clicks link → adds tickets → continues shopping → completes purchase
Result: Tag tracks the completed transaction
Scenario 3
Action: Customer adds tickets for multiple events
Result: Tag tracks only the event it was created for
Scenario 4
Action: Customer opens two tracking links in different tabs
Result: Tag is attributed to the tab where purchase is completed
Scenario 5
Action: Transaction fails
Result: Tag is not tracked
Scenario 6
Action: Booking completed, then refunded
Result: Ticket count does not decrease in report
Scenario 7
Action: Customer adds tickets → removes → re-adds → completes booking
Result: Tag tracks completed booking
Scenario 8
Action: Customer reaches payment page → returns → completes booking
Result: Tag is tracked
