Account level Tracking Links Feature enables you to monitor and create the tracking links from a single page, thus eliminating the need to access each event to create a tag and again access the stats after sales are over.
Before you start:-
- To create a tracking link for a specific event rather than for the account, please click here
- Tags created from the settings page would automatically link to the ongoing and upcoming events but not to the past events.
- For sharing the tracking links it need to be copied from the Tag Manager option available on the event setup page.
- Account-level tracking link tags can't be deleted or edited from the event setup page.
- Tags created from the event setup page will not appear in Global Settings, and their counts will not be updated there. These tags need to be tracked from the event itself.
- Tags can't be deleted once the ticket is booked.
- Can't create duplicate tags.
- Account level tags also count the tickets booked for different events using the continue shopping feature.
- The count doesn't reduce upon refunding the tickets.
Let's Begin:-
I) Hover the mouse cursor on the Organization Name at the top left and select "Settings" from the drop-down list.
ii) Next, click on "Tracking Links" from the list of options displayed to your left, and to create Tag, click "Create Tag."
iii) To share the tags, access the box office calendar, select the event, click on "Promote" displayed at the top right, and select "Tracking Links" from the drop-down option.
iv) Click on the copy button as displayed in the following image and paste the link to the notepad or browser.
v) After successful ticket purchases, the numbers can be tracked on the "Settings" page where the Tags were created.
Notes:-
- The count would get updated in the Ticket Sold Column.
- The Tracking Link Report can also be downloaded in PDF and CSV formats.
- For tracking the sales for a specific event, please click on the "All Events" option and Select the event from the drop-down list.
- To add/create Tags, click "Create Tag.'
Various Scenarios for Global Tracking Link Tag:-
Scenario 1:
Action: A ticket buyer clicks the tag URL and completes the booking.
Result: The tag will track the count.
Scenario 2:-
Action: A ticket buyer clicks the tag URL, adds tickets to the cart, continues shopping, and adds more tickets of the same event.
Result: The tag will track the count each time the user adds tickets to the cart and completes the transaction successfully.
Scenario 3:
Action: A ticket buyer clicks the tag URL, adds tickets to the cart, continues shopping, adds tickets of another event to the cart, and completes the booking.
Result: The tag will track both the events count, also the counts for each events will reflect in event level tag report.
Scenario 4:
Action: A ticket buyer clicks hits the tag URL, and attempts to complete the booking, but the transaction fails.
Result: The tag will not be tracked since the transaction failed.
Scenario 5:
Action: Ticket buyer completes a booking but later requests a refund.
Result: The ticket count in the report will not be reduced on refunds.
