Meta Pixel helps you measure the effectiveness of your Meta (Facebook) ads by tracking visitor activity on your Yapsody event pages, such as page views, add-to-cart actions, and completed purchases.
Yapsody also supports Meta Conversion API (CAPI), which sends event data directly from Yapsody's servers to Meta. This helps improve tracking accuracy by reducing the impact of browser privacy settings, ad blockers, and cookie restrictions.

Step-by-Step Guide
Before You Begin
Before configuring Meta Pixel, you'll need:
- A Meta Business account
- A Meta Pixel ID
If you plan to use Meta Conversion API (CAPI), you'll also need:
- A Meta Conversion API Access Token
You can learn how to generate an Access Token in Meta's developer documentation.
Configure a Meta Pixel for Your Account
The Meta Pixel configured in your account is used as the default tracking configuration for all of your events.
To configure your account-level Meta Pixel:
- Log in to your Yapsody account.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Meta Pixel.
- Enter your Meta Pixel ID.
- Click Save.
Enable Meta Conversion API (Optional)
If you want to use server-side tracking, you can enable Meta Conversion API.
To enable Meta Conversion API:
- Go to Settings > Meta Pixel Account.
- Select Enable Meta Conversion API.
- Enter your Access Token.
- Click Save.
Important:
When Meta Conversion API is enabled, Yapsody sends events directly to Meta using server-side tracking.
Configure a Meta Pixel for an Event
By default, every event uses the Meta Pixel configured in your account settings.
If you want a specific event to report conversions to a different Meta Ads account, you can configure a separate Meta Pixel for that event.
Note:
Event-level Meta Conversion API settings are available only after Meta Conversion API has been enabled for your account.
To configure an event-level Meta Pixel:
- Open the event.
- Select the Marketing tab.
- Click Meta Pixels.
- Enter the Meta Pixel ID.
- If Meta Conversion API is enabled, enter the matching Access Token.
- Click Save.
Important:
- If Meta Conversion API is not enabled, only a Meta Pixel ID is required.
- If Meta Conversion API is enabled, you must enter both the Meta Pixel ID and its matching Access Token before you can save the event-level configuration.
How Event-Level Tracking Works
The Meta Pixel configured in your account settings is used for all events by default.
If you configure a different Meta Pixel ID and its matching Access Token for an individual event, that event will use its own Meta Pixel instead of the account-level configuration.
Example
Your account is configured with:
- Meta Pixel ID: Pixel A
- Access Token: Token A
All events will use Pixel A.
You want to track Event B separately.
For Event B, configure:
- Meta Pixel ID: Pixel B
- Access Token: Token B
Only Event B will report conversions to Pixel B. All other events will continue using Pixel A.
Things to Remember
- The Meta Pixel configured in your account is used for all events by default.
- Meta Conversion API (CAPI) is optional.
- Event-level Meta Conversion API settings are available only after CAPI has been enabled for your account.
- If CAPI is not enabled, you only need a Meta Pixel ID to configure an event-level Meta Pixel.
- If CAPI is enabled, you must enter both the Meta Pixel ID and its matching Access Token to save an event-level configuration.
- If you want an event to report to a different Meta Ads account, you'll need a separate Meta Pixel ID and its corresponding Access Token for that event.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to enable Meta Conversion API?
No. You can continue using Meta Pixel without enabling Meta Conversion API.
Why don't I see the Access Token field for my event?
The Access Token field is available only after Meta Conversion API has been enabled in Settings > Meta Pixel Account.
Can I use a different Meta Pixel for one event?
Yes. Configure a different Meta Pixel ID for the event. If Meta Conversion API is enabled, you'll also need to enter the matching Access Token. Once saved, that event will use its own Meta Pixel instead of the account-level configuration.
Can I save an event-level Meta Pixel without an Access Token?
Yes, if Meta Conversion API is not enabled for your account, only a Meta Pixel ID is required.
If Meta Conversion API is enabled, both the Meta Pixel ID and its matching Access Token are required before you can save the event-level configuration.
When should I use a different Meta Pixel for an event?
Use a separate Meta Pixel when you want a specific event to report conversions to a different Meta Ads account or when you need to track that event independently from your account's default Meta Pixel.
