An event / performance can be deleted only when no transaction is been attempted, however if there is an attempt you could consider 'Unpublishing the performances' of the event, once all the performances in an event are unpublished, the event automatically becomes inactive. Inactive events will no longer be visible to customer at your online ticket booking store.
