This article explains how to set up a Single-Use Code Discount for your event in Yapsody.
A Single-Use Code Discount allows you to generate unique promo codes that can only be used once. This is useful when offering special promotions to individual customers, partners, or promotional campaigns.

Steps to Set Up a Single-Use Code Discount
1. Open Discount Settings
Open the Event Wizard, go to Pricing, then select Discounts.
Click New Discount or Add Discount.
From the Discount Type dropdown menu, select Single-Use Code Discount.
2. Enter Discount Details
Enter the required information:
Discount Name
Description (optional)
Then enter the discount amount per ticket, which can be:
a percentage, or
a fixed amount
3. Configure Ticket Limits
Use Restrict Tickets to limit how many tickets can receive the discount per code.
Example:
If you enter 2, each promo code can only be applied to two tickets.
You can also define the minimum and maximum number of tickets per order.
Example:
Minimum: 2 tickets
Maximum: 5 tickets
The discount will apply only when at least 2 tickets are added to the cart, and it will apply to a maximum of 5 tickets.
4. Set the Discount Validity and Create Codes
Define when the discount will be active by:
entering the number of days before the event, or
selecting a start and end date using the Choose Date option
Next, create your promo codes using one of these options:
Auto-Generate Codes
Enter a code prefix and the number of codes to generate.
Example:
Prefix dance with 20 codes will generate 20 unique promo codes.
Upload Custom Codes
Upload a CSV file containing one unique code per line.
Click Upload File and select your file.
You will receive a confirmation message when the file is successfully uploaded.
5. Choose Where the Discount Applies and Save
Under General Settings, select where the discount should apply:
Box Office
Online Store
Both
Under Ticket Type, choose which ticket categories the discount applies to.
For reserved seating events, seat colors will also appear along with the ticket types.
Click Save to apply the discount to your event.
To export the generated codes, click the Download icon. The codes will download to your device.
Result
Your Single-Use Code Discount is now ready to use. Each generated code can be distributed to customers and redeemed once according to the rules you configured.
