This article explains how to set up a Group Discount for your event in Yapsody.
A Group Discount allows you to offer discounted ticket prices when customers purchase a minimum number of tickets in a single order. This is useful for encouraging group bookings and increasing ticket sales.
Follow the steps below to configure a Group Discount for your event.

Steps to Set Up a Group Discount
1. Open Discount Settings
Open the Event Wizard, go to Pricing, then click Discounts.
Select Add Discount or New Discount.
2. Select Group Discount
From the Discount Type dropdown menu, choose Group Discount.
Enter the required details:
Discount Name
Discount Amount (percentage or fixed amount per ticket)
You may also add a description if needed.
3. Configure Discount Conditions
Set the following options:
Restrict Redemption (optional) – limit the number of tickets eligible for the discount
Date Validity – define how long the discount will be available
Minimum Group Size – enter the number of tickets required for the discount
Example:
If the minimum group size is 5, customers must purchase 5 or more tickets in one order to receive the discount.
4. Select Where the Discount Applies
Under General Settings, choose where the discount should apply:
Box Office
Online Store
Both
5. Select Ticket Types and Save
Under Ticket Type, choose which ticket categories should receive the discount.
For example, if the discount should not apply to Student tickets, simply uncheck that option.
Click Save to apply the Group Discount to your event.
