How to set up Early Bird Discount?

Discount! undoubtedly one of the most loved word among humans!

Although the actual meaning of the word Discount reads as "a deduction from the usual cost of something," we call it as one of the most powerful tool that could result in increased Dopamine levels in human brain, pardon us for being too scientific, we simply meant discounts can make your ticket buyer Happy and could result in extra Ticket sales.

We have majority of discounts covered for you ranging from Single Use Discount Code to Group Discount however this article mainly focuses on how you can set up Early Bird Discount to appreciate your Ticket Buyer for Early purchases, let's begin:- 

1) Select the event from the Box Office Calendar and Click on "Edit" at the top right (How do I do this?). 

2) Now Click on "Pricing." 

3) Click on "Discounts" followed by "New Discount." 

4) You will see a Pop-up (NEXT SCREEN) with Early Purchase Disc by default selected, now simply add details to the Mandatory Filed Such as "Discount Name, Amount" etc. 

You can also restrict the Number of tickets to be redeemed for Early Purchase Discount, in order to do that, simply select "Yes" from the drop down and add number of tickets, as soon as the added number of tickets is purchased the early purchase discount will stop. 

You may find Date Validity part to be confusing however it simply means how many number of days before start of the event the discount should be valid. 

For Example:- If your event is on 11th March and you want the ticket buyer to benefit from an Early Purchase discount till 01st March, simply enter the number of days in the field as 10. We just need to count the days in reverse order, i.e. from the event start date to the Early Bird Discount end date. 

Please Note:- In case, the restricted tickets are redeemed much before the discount end date, thereafter the customer won't get a discount while purchasing tickets. 

Discounts can be made available either for the Box office or Online Store or both for selective performance with the help of switches available right next to the Performance date and time, just ON and OFF by clicking on it as per your preference and don't forget to click on "Save" to ensure the settings are saved.

Moreover,  you can also make the discount available on the ticket types, all you need to do is click on "Ticket Type" next to General Settings and select the ticket types you want the discount on. 

For Example: if you have created 3 Ticket Types Adult, Children and Family and you want only Adult and Children should get a discount, simply enable the Switch against them. 

Please Note:- "Early Purchase Discount will be auto-applied at the time of checkout and the discount can only be seen as soon as the customer selects a ticket." You can add the same note to the event description page to avoid any confusion among the ticket buyers. (How do I add/update the event description?) .
