Ideally to sell tickets for an event most of the presenters like you have to go through the pain of paying very high fees to the ticketing platform as well as the payment gateway’s transaction processing fees. What if we say from now on you don’t have to pay this hefty fee from your pocket and can sell the tickets for your event for FREE?
Wondering how do you go about setting up an event without paying a penny from your pocket? Let’s put the curtains down.
Considering the competitive event market and to avoid a toll on the event presenter’s pocket, we have come up with a feature of Passing on the Yapsody Fees to the ticket purchaser. Excuse us! if you find it too technical to understand, to make it simple, it just means letting your ticket purchasers pay Yapsody Fees incurred for your paid ticket sales along with the ticket price you have set up for your event.
In order to cover the transaction processing fees of your preferred payment gateway you can also add a Surcharge in the form of a flat fee or percentage and name it as “Payment Processing Fee.”
Still not convinced? Let us explain how the passing of Yapsody Fees works:
If you select the option to pass on the fees to your ticket buyers and add a Surcharge to cover the payment processing fees. Customers purchasing tickets will be charged the Ticket Price, Yapsody fees, and the payment gateway transaction processing fees.
For example: - If you set an event with a ticket price of USD $10, the Yapsody Fee according to (0.59 + 1.75% per ticket sold) will be USD$0.77 and to process a transaction the payment gateway would charge USD $0.62 according to 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.
Note: -The above example is for a General Admission event, with the currency USD $ and the payment gateway selected as Wepay.
The complete amount i.e. (Your Ticket Price + Yapsody Fee + Payment Processing Fee = Total Ticket Price) will be deposited into your payment gateway account. We do not deduct our share (Yapsody fees) and transfer the complete amount to your payment gateway account.
Now in order to collect our share (Yapsody Fees) which has already been paid by your customer, we send you an invoice at the start of every month with the Yapsody fees. So, you can check the invoice with all the transactions and then make a payment of the fees.
Tip: - We recommend checking with your preferred Gateway the transaction fee you will incur per transaction and setting the surcharge in the form of a percentage to make sure you match the numbers.
You can also check out various exceptions we have by clicking here in which Yapsody Fees are not applied.
