- Stripe provides you an option to customize the text that appears on your customer's credit card statement displaying the charge post-transaction.
- You can customize the text that appears on your customer's credit card statements by editing the statement descriptor in your Stripe account settings at Business Settings -> Business -> Public Information -> Statement descriptor.
Note: Statement descriptors are limited to 22 characters, cannot use the special characters <, >, ', or ", and must not consist solely of numbers. - Yapsody as a default sends dynamic descriptors based on the event title so that each transaction can be identified based on the event. The user can turn off / turn on this feature by using Yapsody settings for Stripe payment gateway configuration. Follow the steps mentioned below Help Link to set up Stripe Payment Gateway.
How do I add Stripe as a payment gateway to my Yapsody account?
Scenarios
1. With a dynamic descriptor enabled on Yapsody, the statement descriptor for customers would show the event name for which the customer has purchased tickets.
Note: With Dynamic Descriptor disabled on Yapsody the Statement Descriptor will not be shown in the Stripe Account. However, Ticket buyers can see the descriptor added by the Event Presenters on their Credit card statement provided if the Event Presenter has added the Statement descriptor to his Stripe Account.
