This article explains how to access the "Miscellaneous Settings" option and what does it includes.
i) Begin by clicking on the "Organization Name" at the top left and select "Settings" from the drop down list.
ii) Next, click on "Transactions" from the list of option displayed at the left and refer to the section "Miscellaneous Settings."
What are the options it contains and how does it works?
a) Transaction timeout: This is the maximum amount of time that a customer will have to complete a transaction after adding tickets to the cart. Upon timeout, tickets will be returned to the inventory, and becomes available again. The transaction timeout period is applicable to both Online Store and Box Office. The minimum transaction timeout is 5 minutes and the maximum is 30 minutes.
b) Print transaction notes on receipt: You can enter transaction notes while issuing tickets from Box Office Interface. These notes will be displayed on the receipt for the customers, if the option is enabled.
c) Combine Payment Methods in Box Office: A maximum of two payment methods can be combined for a single transaction while issuing tickets from Box Office Interface, if you enable the check box under Miscellaneous Settings. (How do I do this?)
d) Tickets permitted per Order line: Here you can select the minimum ticket and maximum tickets to be allowed for the show per transaction. You can change these settings on an event by event basis from performance page.
e) Enable opt-in for promotional and marketing emails as default: The ticket buyers are provided with an option on the check out page to either opt-in or opt-out of any promotional marketing emails sent by you in future.
f) Prevent Orphan Seats:- Orphan Seats, are the seats that remain unoccupied due to various reasons including customer preferences over specific seats thus leaving a gap in what should ideally be a seamless arrangement. Enabling this features helps to prevent creating Orphan Seats, to learn how to enable, click here.
g) Fee-Inclusive Pricing:- This feature is by default enabled across all the US accounts due to recent guidelines from the federal regulator Federal Trade Commission (FTC). A fee-inclusive ticket price feature bundles all costs into a single fee and displays it to the ticket buyer; it includes additional costs such as surcharges, passed-on Yapsody fees, but excludes Taxes, to learn more about the feature click here.
h) Customers must agree to following terms and conditions upon checkout: This will display important terms and conditions that you want your customers to know before they complete their online transaction. They will have to check a box to indicate their agreement before they can complete the transaction. (Example, 'Must be 18 years or older to attend.') (Where do they appear?)
