How to connect the Square terminal device to your Yapsody account?

In order to use Square Terminal, it's mandatory to have a Square as the payment option set up to your Yapsody account. If you haven't, Click Here to learn how to set up a payment method.

Note:- Square terminal option will only be available for USD currency. 

Follow the steps below to connect the Square terminal device to your Yapsody account:

• Hover the mouse cursor on the Account Name at the top left and click on "Settings" from the drop-down option. 
• Click the second option "Accept Payments" available on the list.  
• Now Click "Edit" available on the "Square" set up. 
• On the Square setting page, you will find an option to enter the terminal device that reads "Enter Device Name." 

You can enter the name as per your preference such as Terminal 1, Rogger 1 and etc. 

Note:- The custom name entered here would show up under the square terminal list which users need to select while issuing tickets from the box office interface. 

Now you would see "Register Square Terminal button" visible, clicking on it will create a Device code that needs to be entered into the terminal device to complete pairing.  

Now it's time to play with Square Terminal, keep reading to learn where you need to enter the code to complete the setup. 

a) On the Home Page of Square Terminal, tap on "Sign in." 

b) As we have a device code generated, we would choose "Use a device code."

c) Enter the device code shown on your Yapsody account and click on Sign in, if the code is entered accurately, it will show "Connected".

• As soon as you see "Connected" on the Square Terminal, head back to your Yapsody account and click on the button “Click after you link the terminal,” it would be seen right below the code we used to connect to Square Terminal. 

• Now under the Square Payment setting, you will see the Square Terminal device information as mentioned below.
• Name: This will be the name of the device set.
• Square Status: This will show the device status from the Square payment method like PAIRED, UNKNOWN, etc. The status will come from Square.
• Yapsody Status: This will show the Yapsody Status which is “In Use” and “AVAILABLE”.
• Device Code: Device code will show the code paired.

At any given point of time you can connect multiple terminals to the Yapsody account:

To refresh the terminal status page, please click on the refresh icon as shown in the following image:

Note:- The device doesn't have to be paired every time with the Yapsody account. If it isn't in use, feel free to disconnect it. 

How to Disconnect your Square Terminal from the Yapsody account?

In case, if there is a need to disconnect the Square Terminal, you can do so from the Square Payment Gateway Account.
