To connect a Stripe Terminal to your YapSale app, you must generate a one-time Pairing Code (also called a Registration Code). This code securely links your physical terminal to your Stripe account and YapSale.
Important
This process applies only to Stripe Terminal
The Stripe Reader does NOT require a pairing code (it connects via Bluetooth)
The YapSale app is supported only on iPad
Important Device Support Note
This guide is written based on testing done with the Stripe Terminal (WisePOS E).
The YapSale app has been tested by the Yapsody Product team using the WisePOS E terminal.
Other Stripe Terminal models may behave differently.
Before purchasing a different Stripe Terminal device, please confirm compatibility with Stripe and Yapsody Support to ensure it will work with YapSale.
What Is a Pairing Code?
A Pairing Code is a temporary, one-time-use code generated directly on the Terminal device. It allows the terminal to securely connect to:
Your Stripe account, and
The YapSale app
Each code:
Can be used only once
Expires after a short time
Must be regenerated if pairing is not completed
How the Stripe Terminal Connects
Unlike the Stripe Reader (which uses Bluetooth), the Terminal:
Connects over Wi-Fi
Uses a Pairing / Registration Code
Does not pair automatically
How to Get a Pairing Code from the Stripe Terminal
Step 1: Power on the Terminal
Turn on your terminal and wait until the home screen appears.
Step 2: Open Admin Settings
On the terminal home screen, swipe from left to right
Tap Settings
Enter your Admin Passcode
If you don’t know the admin passcode, please contact Stripe Support.
Step 3: Generate the Pairing Code

Step 4: Note the Pairing Code
