Overview
YAppSurvey allows you to create logic-based questionnaires for your events. Logic-based questionnaires display different questions to attendees based on their previous answers.
For example, you can ask attendees if they would like to have dinner at the event:
- If they select Yes, you can display an additional question asking them to choose between Veg or Non Veg meals.
- If they select No, the questionnaire can automatically end and continue to checkout.
This helps create a smoother and more personalized attendee experience.

Before You Start
Please note the following before creating your questionnaire:
- Logic can only be applied to questions using:
- Radio Button response format
- Drop-Down response format
- We recommend marking logic-based questions as Mandatory so attendees cannot skip them.
- Once a transaction has been attempted, the linked questionnaire cannot be edited.
Step 1 — Open YAppSurvey
- Log in to your Yapsody account.
- Click your Organization Name in the top-left corner.
- Select YAppSurvey from the dropdown menu.
- Click Create/Manage Questionnaires.
Step 2 — Create Custom Questions
- Open the Question Bank tab.
- Click Add New Question.
For this example, we will create the following questions:

Step 3 — Create the Questionnaire

You will now see all questions from the Question Bank on the left side of the screen.
Step 4 — Add Questions to Different Pages

Logic-based questionnaires work best when questions are separated onto different pages.
Step 5 — Configure Logic
Configure Logic for Page 1
- Open Page 1.
- Click Set Logic.
For the “Yes” option:
- Click Select a Page.
- Choose Page 2.
- Click Apply.
This means attendees who select Yes will be taken to the meal preference question.
For the “No” option:
- Select Submit and Finish.
- Click Apply.
This allows attendees who are not interested in dinner to skip the meal preference question and continue to checkout.
Configure Logic for Page 2
- Open Page 2.
- Click Set Logic.
For both:
- Veg
- Non Veg
Select:
- Submit and Finish
Then click Apply.
Step 6 — Save the Questionnaire
Once your logic settings are complete:
- Click Save to save the questionnaire.
- Your attendees will now see questions dynamically based on their answers.
