This article explains how to link Stripe as the payment option for your Yapsody account that sells tickets in USD or Canadian Dollars currencies.
Before you start:-
- If you are selling tickets in currencies other than USD or Canadian Dollars, please click here to learn how to obtain Stripe Payment Gateway credentials from your merchant dashboard that needs to be linked to your Yapsody account.
- Stripe may take up to 07 days to review your details and complete the onboarding process.
Please continue reading only if you are selling tickets in USD or Canadian Dollars.
i) Hover the Mouse Cursor on the Organization Name at the top left and select "Settings" from the drop-down list.
ii) Next, click on "Accept Payments" followed by "Configure" next to Credit Card.
iii) Select "Stripe" from the list of Payment Gateways and click "Connect With Stripe."
iv) Next, you'll find a prompt, stating "You are successfully connected. To start accepting payments, please click the below button" i.e. Complete Onboarding.
v) Clicking on "Complete Onboarding" will direct you to the Stripe website to initiate the onboarding process, enter the email address and Password to begin.
Note:- If you are an existing Stripe user, enter your registered email and password, complete the verification process and you'll be prompted to continue with the existing business or create a new one, if you choose to continue with the existing business, you will just need to review the details and start accepting payments in no time!
vi) Next, you will be asked to "Set up two-step authentication:-
a) Through the Google Authenticator app, phone number, or a Security Key instead. Select either of the options and you'll be prompted to verify it along with the email address.
b) Select phone, enter the phone number, verify the email address, and enter the Code received on the phone number.
c) Successful verification will result in Stripe displaying "Your account is secured" along with the security code that can be downloaded or copied to your device as displayed in the following image.
Back-Up Code:- This is an emergency backup code, please store it somewhere safe. If your device is ever lost or stolen, you can use this code to unlock your Stripe account.
vii) On the following Pages, you will be prompted to Enter your Business and Personal details.
- Choose your Business Location and Type of Business, then select Continue
- For personal details, enter your First Name and Last Name as specified on your government-issued ID or with government agencies like the IRS.
- Then enter your Email Address, Date of Birth, Home Address, Phone Number
- Enter the Last 4 Digits of your Social Security Number
- Then select Continue
Viii) Enter additional business details such as:-
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN),
- Business address, Industry,
- Your website, and Product description, and click "Continue" to proceed.
ix) Payouts:-
a) Enter the bank account details, and select an account, please review the details carefully to ensure the payments are deposited to the correct account.
x) Adding Stripe Descriptor:-
a) Add public details for customers, such as Stripe Descriptor, etc this information may be visible in payment statements, invoices, and receipts.
xi) Review & Submit:-
After successful submission of details, you will be moved to the review page, ensure the details are correct and click "Agree and Submit." If something is missing you'll be highlighted in red with the information that needs to be entered. You shall receive a prompt that would indicate the setup is successful.
xii) Now, return to the same page from where we started the Stripe Onboarding process, i.e. click on "Accept Payments" followed by "Configure" next to Credit Card and select "Stripe" from the drop-down list.
You'll find the Account ID generated however if some of the information is been missing you'll be displayed "Your account is already connected to Stripe. Some of the information has not been updated. Please visit the stripe dashboard and provide all the details required to start accepting payments!"
xii) Click on "Stripe Dashboard," enter the email address and Password and you will be displayed what information Stripe is looking for right at the top as displayed in the following screenshot, please enter them accurately.
xiii) Upon successful updation of details, you would display the message "Thanks for providing the required information to continue with Stripe. We might later reach out to collect additional details.'
Note:- It may take up to 07 days for Stripe to verify your details.
xiv) After successful onboarding, you'll see a message "You're ready to accept Payments," please click on "Add" to link it and start accepting funds from ticket sales.
