The Box Office Interface allows you to sell or issue tickets directly to customers visiting your venue or placing an order over the phone. You can process General Admission and Reserved Seating events, apply discounts, accept different payment methods, and deliver tickets instantly.
Before You Begin
- Sign in to your Box Office Interface.
- Make sure the event is available for sale.
- Have the customer's information and payment details ready.
Issue Tickets for an Event
Step 1: Select an Event
- Log in to the Box Office Interface.
- Select the event from the calendar.
- Click Tickets.
Note: The first three steps are the same for both General Admission and Reserved Seating events.
Issue Tickets for a General Admission Event
- Select the ticket type the customer wants.
- Enter the quantity of tickets.
- Click Checkout.
The Cart Summary page will open, where you can review the order and complete the purchase.
Tip: If the customer wants to purchase tickets for multiple events in a single transaction, click Continue Shopping, select the additional event and tickets, and then proceed to Checkout.
Issue Tickets for a Reserved Seating Event
- Select the desired section from the seating chart.
- Choose the customer's seats.
- If multiple ticket types are available, select the appropriate ticket type.
- Click Checkout.
The selected seats will be added to the Cart Summary page.
Complete the Purchase
On the Cart Summary page:
- Review the Grand Total.
- Apply a discount code if provided by the customer.
- Apply a Courtesy Discount, if applicable.
- Enter the customer's information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Select the preferred ticket delivery method (such as Email or Print).
- Choose the payment method:
- Cash
- Credit Card
- Complimentary
(Optional) Enter Transaction Notes to record information that may be helpful for future reference.
Examples:
- Purchase completed over the phone.
- Customer requested tickets to be held at Will Call.
- Courtesy discount approved by a supervisor.
- Select the customer's marketing communication preferences (optional).
- Click Make Payment to complete the transaction.
After the Payment
Once the payment is processed successfully:
- A Transaction Number is generated as confirmation of the completed purchase.
- Click Print Tickets to print the tickets.
- Click Print Receipt to print the customer's receipt.
If Email was selected as the ticket delivery method, the tickets are automatically sent to the customer's email address.
Tips
- Use Continue Shopping to add tickets for multiple events to the same transaction.
- Transaction Notes are for internal use only and are not visible to the customer.
- Verify the customer's email address before completing the purchase to ensure tickets are delivered successfully.
