Before you start:-
- It's advisable to go through the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) by clicking here to get answers to the queries you may have about Add-ons.
- You can also control, the number of Add-ons can be purchased in a single transaction, and also after adding how many tickets to the cart the add-ons should appear.
This article is divided into two parts. The first part will guide you on creating Add-ons, while the second part will explain how to link them to your event.
A) How to Create Add-ons?
i) Hover the mouse cursor on the Organization Name at the top left and select "Add-ons" from the drop-down list.
ii) Next, click on "Create Add-ons."
iii) Now, list the Add-ons you are likely to sell by populating the following information in their respective fields:-
- Add-ons Name:- Such as Burger, T-shirt, etc.
- Description:- A little description of the product.
- Terms & Conditions:- If any.
- Image:- Upload attractive images to grab ticket buyer's attention (up to 5 images, JPEG or PNG format image with minimum resolution 320 x 240 pixels and maximum size up to 2MB)
- Price & Quantity:- Enter the Product Price and Quantity you would be selling.
- Note:- If your Add-ons have different variations, for example, for T-shirts, if you are selling different sizes, please check the box before "This Add-on has variation" and click "Add variation" and list the Size under Variation Name, followed by Price and Quantity.
- Continue Clicking "Add Variation" until you create all the sizes, lastly click "Create" available at the bottom of the pop-up once your setup is ready.
iv) Next, upon setting up the Add-ons, Control how to sell them using the various options available in the "Add-ons Settings."
Before selecting any of the following options, please note that by default, customers can buy a number of add-ons equal to the number of tickets they are purchasing.
Add-ons Permitted per order Online:- Checking the box before this option will enable other options, although this set up would be applicable for the entire events however you can override the settings for each event at the time of linking Add-ons.
a) Add-ons Limited by Ticket Quantity:- Ensures the number of add-ons does not exceed the number of event tickets in the cart, meaning, if the ticket buyer adds 02 tickets to the cart, he wouldn't be able to purchase more than 02 Add-ons.
b) Minimum & Maximum:- Minimum and maximum quantities of each add-on that can be purchased per order.
c) Unlimited:- No restrictions on the purchase of Add-ons, ticket buyers can purchase as many they want.
d) Display Add-On When:- This option allows the flexibility to display add-ons only when a certain number of tickets are added to the cart.
For Example: If you would like to display add-ons to only those customers who would be purchasing minimum 02 tickets and Maximum 04, Simply enter "02" & "04" in the Minimum and Maximum Fields.
That being said, add-ons wouldn't be displayed if ticket buyers purchase, Less than 01 ticket and more than 05 tickets.
B) How to Link to the event?
i) After a successful setup, you'll discover the created add-ons, but they won't be linked to the event. To establish a connection, choose the event from the "Box Office," then click "Edit" at the top, Click here to learn how to Edit the Event.
ii) Next, click on "Add-ons," hover the mouse cursor on the listed Add-ons, and click "Edit" (Pen Icon.)
iii) On the Add-ons Editor page, you also get an option to control the Sale of "Add-ons Permitted per Order online" the changes here would be applicable for that particular Add-on and will override the set up we have done on the earlier Add-on Set up page.
Furthermore, we can also modify the toggles for Taxes and Location (Box Office / Online Store), apart from this we wouldn't be able to change the Add-on Pricing, Quantities and etc.
Note:- Taxes would only be applied on the Add-ons if you have enabled the Taxes for the event, if not, click here to learn how to add Taxes.
iv) The setup is now complete. The following image will assist you in understanding how the Add-ons, along with their variations, will be showcased on the online store.
