In order to link Shift4 as the payment gateway to your Yapsody account, you will require:
- Merchant Auth Token
Contact Shift4 for details on how to generate a "Merchant Auth Token" or click here (Shift4 Support Article that can assist you).
Once you have the details handy, continue reading the article to start accepting funds from your event ticket sales in just a few clicks!
Shift4 is only available for presenters who are based out of the United States of America and wish to process payments in USD.
1) Hover the mouse on the Organization Name at the top left and click on "Settings" from the Drop-Down.
2) Click "Accept Payments."
3) Click "Add Payment Method" at the top right or "Configure" right next to Credit Card.
4) Now select the payment method as "Credit card" and select "Shift4" from the List.
Note:- You can also enable the payment option location-specific i.e either for box office or online store.
5) Upon selecting Shift4, it will show the setting page for Shift4. Under the "Enter Merchant Auth Token," text field the user must enter the Merchant Auth Token and click on the "Generate Access Token" button.
6) A pop-up will appear asking you to save the payment method. Click "OK" to proceed.
7) It will display the merchant name and merchant id along with the following message “Yapsody - ECom access token is generated. Please add/save the Payment method.”
8) To complete the setup, click "Add" and then "OK" in the Pop-up message.
In order to revoke and generate a new Merchant Auth if it has expired, please follow the steps below:
1) Once the Shift4 PG has been added, on editing it the save button will appear with the option to Revoke and Generate New Merchant Auth Token.
Note: Merchant Auth Token can be regenerated from the Shift4 PG account.
2) Enter the New Merchant Auth Token and click on Revoke and Generate New button.
3) Click on Save to Complete the Set up.
