How to Transfer Tickets Using the YapTickets App

The Transfer Ticket feature in the YapTickets app allows you to send your event tickets to another person’s email address directly from the app.
After the transfer is completed, the recipient must sign in to the YapTickets app to access the ticket.

Before You Start

Please review the following requirements and limitations:

• Update the app to the latest version (v3.3 on both Android and iOS).

• The Transfer Ticket feature is available only within the YapTickets app.
  If you have not installed the app, click here for instructions on downloading and accessing tickets.

• The Transfer Ticket option appears only for upcoming events, not for past events.

• The recipient can access transferred tickets only through the YapTickets app.

• Once a ticket is transferred, it will no longer appear in your account.

• If an add-on is purchased with the ticket, the transfer will be restricted.

Steps to Transfer Tickets

1. Tap “Transfer Ticket”

Open your ticket in the app and tap Transfer Ticket at the bottom of the screen.

Note:
If an add-on is associated with the ticket, you will see this error:

“Transfer Restriction: You cannot transfer tickets as Addons are associated with them.”

2. Select Tickets to Transfer

• For General Admission events: Select the quantity of tickets.

• For Reserved Seating events: Select the specific section, row, and seat(s).

Tap Next to continue.

3. Enter Recipient Email

Enter the recipient’s email address and tap Confirm.

4. Review and Confirm Transfer

You will see a review screen showing:

• Recipient email

• Event details

• Number of tickets being transferred

You can:

• Tap Confirm to complete the transfer

• Tap Change to edit the recipient email

• Tap Cancel to stop the process

  

5. Transfer Confirmation

Once successful:

• A confirmation message will appear

• The transferred tickets will no longer appear in your account 

  

6. What the Recipient Receives

The recipient will receive an email with instructions to access the ticket.
The email subject will include the event name, for example:

“Your Performing Arts at Yapsody Ticket”

The recipient must:

• Download the YapTickets app

• Sign in using the same email address

• View the ticket under Tickets 

  

Important Note

You need to log in to your email account on the same device (phone) on which you have installed the YapTickets app.
