PayPal is one of the most widely used online payment platforms, offering flexibility and security for both buyers and sellers. As a part of their security measures, sometimes they prevent from displaying the Guest Checkout option i.e. “Pay with Credit or Debit Card” option during the checkout. Here’s a step-by-step guide on what to do if you face this issue.
1) Factors Responsible for not Showing Guest Checkout Option:-
Note: These factors are entirely controlled by PayPal, and we have no influence over them.
-
a) Merchant Settings:- The event Presenter may not have enabled the guest checkout option.
-
b) Exhausting the Limt:- Your email address may have exhausted the guest checkout limit.
- c) Browser Issues:- Using an outdated browser version or the excessive cache stored in the browser affects the payment gateway's ability to process information, thus limiting you from displaying the Guest Checkout Option.
-
d) Geographical Restrictions: The guest Checkout option isn't available for your region / Location.
-
e) Account-Specific Factors: Your email address is registered with PayPal which prompts you to login to PayPal.
2) Steps to Resolve the Issue:-
a) Retry purchasing tickets after deleting the cache OR use the incognito/private mode of your browser (This can help bypass any stored cookies or extensions interfering with the payment page.)
b) Ensure the browser version is up to date and prefer using browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, etc
c) Switch to a different device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or another computer.
d) Use an email address that was never used on PayPal. The “Pay with Credit/Debit Card” option is often available for guest users.
If still, the Guest checkout option is stilln't available, it is advisable to contact the event presenter (How to contact presenter) to check if you can pay with different modes.
