This article would help you block the email / IP addresses of suspicious purchasers, helping you prevent them from buying your event tickets.
Before you start:-
- Upon blocking the email addresses, the users who attempt to buy a ticket will be shown an error "Your email address has been blocked" as soon as they try to proceed to the payment processing page.
- Blocked IP addresses wouldn't be able to access your Online store, they would be shown your IP address has been blocked due to unusual activity as soon as they enter your online store's address.
- IP addresses can only be blocked if you have access to them, you Yapsody account doesn't displays ticket buyers' IP addresses.
- Blocking Email / IP addresses wouldn't have any impact on the existing purchases.
i) From the Box Office Calendar, hover the mouse cursor on the Organization Name at the top left and select "Settings" from the drop-down list.
ii) Next, click "Blocklist" followed by "Add."
iii) Populate the Blocklist with the Email / IP addresses that you would like to prevent from buying tickets and click "Add to Blocklist."
Notes:-
- Separate each address with , (Comma) or Line Break (Next line) as displayed in the following image.
- We also recommend adding a short note within 100 characters for quick identification of why these addresses are been blocked.
iv) Now, you'll be displayed the dashboard showing the list of ticket buyers Email / IP Addresses, been blocked, clicking on the delete (Bin Icon) would unblock, and edit would provide an option to make the changes.
v) The following screen will be displayed for the ticket buyers whose email addresses are been blocked.
vi) Whereas, ticket buyers whose IP addresses are blocked wouldn't be able to access your online store and will be displayed following screen.
