How to create Secret link for your event?

A secret event link can be a useful tool in various scenarios such as Private Invitations, Pre-Sale Access, Exclusive Content or Experiences, etc. where you want to restrict access to group of people or individuals. In this article you would learn how to create secret link of the event.

Before you start:- 

• Private links wouldn't be linked nor searchable in the any of the search engines.
• This feature is only available for the latest interface of online store.
• To avoid displaying the event on the online store, we would need to restrict selling tickets to box office, to learn how to set it up, please click here
• Private link users will get direct access to the ticket selection page, it would bypass additional settings such as access codes, Online Sale Ended, Event date is set to be Announced, and etc. 
• If the transaction is attempted private link cannot be deleted and it would only count sales data (tickets booked using the link), refunded ticket count wouldn't be reduced. 
• Only the General Promo Code discount can be combined with the private link, which will be automatically applied. 

Let's begin to create the private link. 

i) Select the event from the box office and click on "Promote" at the top right, followed with "Private Link" from the drop-down option. 

ii) Next, click "Create Link." 

iii) Name the private link as per your preference and select the performance (only in case of multiple performances) from the drop-down list for which you would like to create a Private link, followed by selecting Held Inventory & Open Inventory. 

a) Held Inventory:- Link created using this inventory would only display seats/capacity that are been held using the Hold codes you would select. 

Note:- At a time multiple Hold codes can be selected. 

b) Open Inventory:- All the unheld seats/capacity would be shown to book, in case of no hold used for an event, the entire capacity/seats would be available. 

c) Link Promocode Discount (Optional): If you want your privileged ticket buyers to purchase tickets at a discounted rate, please select the discount code from the drop-down list. If you haven't set up a discount yet, click here for detailed instructions. When setting up the discount, choose 'General Promo Code' from the discount type drop-down menu.

Note:-Only the General Promo Code discount can be combined with the private link, which will be automatically applied. 

To record the set up, click "Save" and a private link would be generated, this link can be shared to your audiences to buy tickets secretly. 

iv) Upon setting up the private link, you can also monitor the number of tickets sold and revenue generated from it. 

Note:- If the transaction is attempted private link cannot be deleted however you can disable it by switching off the Toggle Button available under the "Status" option.

Furthermore, it would only count sales data (tickets booked using the link), refunded ticket count wouldn't be reduced.
