If you have already created a section or planning to do so but wish it was smoother, the Reference chart feature can come to your rescue!
Reference chart feature helps you to draw on top of an existing floor plan image and is always the most effective and fastest way to draw a precise seating chart. Effortlessly upload one by dragging an image to the Reference Chart property, create an aesthetically pleasing seating chart, and earn yourself a degree of master of sections!
Let's begin!
i) Click on "Seating" from the list of options displayed at the top, followed by "Seating Chart."
Note:- In case, you have exited the setup, click here to get to the options displayed in the following image.
ii) Next, click on "Reference Chart" available on the right-hand side, then pick the file from your computer's directory.
Note:- The image should be in PDF, GIF, or JPEG format and shouldn't exceed 15 MB.
iii) After uploading the image, click "Next" on the Reference Chart Calibration screen.
iv) On the next screen, you'll be asked to enter a zoom percentage, This percentage indicates how much the reference chart should be enlarged or reduced to match the scale of the actual seating plan. You can set it up to 600%. Customize it to your liking and then click "Next."
v) Next, place a minimum of 04 seats on top of the background seats by clicking on them, to increase the size of the seats feel free to use the "Seat Size" tool, click and drag to reposition seats, and right-click to remove them, to move to the next screen, click "Next."
Note:- Adjust the seat size until the edges of the paced seats and the background sears overlap.
vi) The following screen, will display the seat size automatically adjusted and also allow you to resize if you fail to do so on the previous page, Clicking 'Next' will then advance you to the next step.
vii) Now, the system will ask you to adjust the row spacing. You can do this by dragging the highlighted row to align it with the next parallel row. Afterward, click 'Next' to finish the setup.
viii) Now the "Canvas" will display the reference chart we uploaded, if you are unable to find it click on the centre of the "Circle" at the bottom left of the Editor.
ix) Next, you'll find a list of choices on your left, click on "S" and choose the option for establishing Sections as per requirement and draw over the mouse cursor on the sections.
Once a section is drawn, it's crucial to click on the pointer icon (first option on the list to the left) promptly to deactivate the drawing mode and prevent any unintentional overlap of sections.
Next, access section mode, either by double-clicking the section you drew or by selecting it and using the "Edit Contents" button on the top right available next to Section.
x) Click on the created section, and you'll discover an array of options on the right-hand side, such as Selecting Category, Labelling the sections, etc.
xi) To add Seats to the created section, look for the three dots (...) as shown in the image below and click on them to choose your preferred method for seat placement.
You have three options to choose from:
- The first option allows you to add seats in a straight line.
- The second option lets you set up seats/rows in an arc.
- The third option allows you to create an entire row (begin with the first row and drag the cursor down to auto-add more rows).
Once you've selected your preferred option, click on the section where you want to start, and then drag the cursor to add the desired number of seats. Repeat the same process to add additional rows if needed.
To remove seats, simply hover your mouse over them, select the seats by highlighting them, and then hit the 'Delete' button on your keyboard.
xii) To select the Pricing Category, highlight the rows and you'll find an option on the right-hand side. You can price each row of a section differently or the same.
xiii) In addition, to assign labels to rows and seats, access their respective dropdown menus and choose your preferred labeling method.
Note:- Once you are satisfied with the setup, click on "Exit Section" at the top left of the Section Mode, and to record the changes, click on "Save & Proceed" at the top right.
