Yapsody has launched the "Quickscan" ticket scanning app, allowing event presenters to scan tickets at the account level. With the Quickscan app, box office users can log in directly and start scanning tickets without needing to select the event name separately. This feature streamlines the process, saving time and effort, and is especially beneficial for presenters managing multiple events on the same day.
1) The Quickscan app is free to install, and you can download it from the Google Play Store (click here) for Android devices and from the App Store (click here) for iOS devices. To download the app, simply search for the app name in the Play Store or App Store, based on your device model, and then click on the 'Install' button to download it onto your device.
Latest versions:-
iOS - 2.4.9
Android - 1.9
2) After installing the app, locate it on your home screen and tap the icon. Click "Sign in," enter your Yapsody account email address and password, and then click "Login to My Account" to access your account for scanning.
Note:-
1) If you have set up your Yapsody account using Sign up with Google, please click "Sign in with Google" to access your account.
2) If you are unable to find the following screens, please ensure to update to the latest version.
3) Once you log in to your account in the Quickscan app, it allows you to scan tickets directly.
To Scan tickets, choose "Scan" from the list of options, displayed at the bottom of the screen. Once the ticket is successfully scanned, the app will display a 'Scanned' message on the screen along with the ticket details.
If the scan time has not started for the event, the app will show a message stating 'Scanning not started'.
4) Similarly, if you want to unscan a ticket, select "Unscan" from the list of options, and attempt to scan the ticket again. This action will revert the ticket to its previous state, marking it as "Un-scanned."
5) To check the status of the ticket, whether it's scanned, unscanned, or if it's a valid ticket for the event, select the option 'Info' from the list and scan the ticket's QR code. Once the ticket is scanned, the Quickscan app will display event details, such as the event name, date, and time. Additionally, it will notify you whether the ticket has been scanned or not at the top of the app screen.
6) Alternatively, the event presenter can directly search for the customer's name in the app to manually scan or unscan the event tickets. Begin by clicking on the search icon at the bottom left and enter the customer name on the following page.
Once you find the customer's ticket, tap on it to select the 'Scan' option manually. If you want to check how many times the ticket has been scanned or unscanned and by whom, click on the 'Details' option. This will display the log, showing when that particular ticket was scanned or unscanned and by whom it was done.
7) If you want to scan tickets only for specific events in the account, you can tap on the Settings icon (the cogwheel icon shown at the top left of the main screen), then select "Events Filter." This will allow you to choose the required events for scanning. After selecting the events, the user will be able to scan tickets only for those selected events through the app.
You can also use the below QR code image to test the scan functionality using the Quickscan app.
Tip:
- If you are unable to see your event, try to re-login to your account. Also, make sure you're signed into the correct Yapsody account and have the User Permission to Scan the tickets.
